CISS Undergraduate Student Welcome and Support Program Spring 2026

Storrs Campus

The International Undergraduate Welcome and Support Program is a required program for all international undergraduate students entering the Storrs campus as new students for the Spring 2026 semester.

The goal of this program is to provide the resources, support, and connections that new international students need to start their academic journey at the University of Connecticut successfully. Participation is mandatory. Students who wish to explore or travel in the area should plan to do so before arriving on Thursday, January 15 for early move-in. Once on campus, the priority will be preparing for the semester and year at UConn.

This program applies to students on immigrant and non-immigrant visas, permanent residents, other immigrant statuses, as well as U.S. citizens who were born outside the U.S. or have parents born outside the U.S.

As part of our international community, we hope you take full advantage of the services and resources offered through this program.
