Ana joined UConn’s American English Language Institute in October 2019 as the department’s Program Assistant. She is always excited to serve the international student population and provide a smooth transition to those who wish to study English and meet their language goals with UCAELI. Before coming to UConn, she worked in various administrative roles at Parsons School of Design (School of Fashion) and the Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corporation (AALDC), a small non-for-profit organization in Brooklyn, NY. Additionally, she loves to travel, experience new cultures, try different foods, and connect with people in the local community. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family, cooking, hiking, and taking Zumba dance classes. Ana is originally from the Bronx, New York City. Ana completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the College of Mount Saint Vincent and master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Stony Brook University.
